A Little Update

Well 08/08/16 did not go as planned; I was signed up to attend a 8-8 Lions Gate Global Activation group mediation but the day had other plans for me. My partner, Amelia, got some not so stellar news from the financial aid office at school. She was more than a bit down, so I did my best to focus on her, spoil her, and did anything I could to make her feel better. It took some creative thinking and planning but she is feeling much better about her degree and future options now.

That was 3 weeks ago! Since then our precious niece was born, we babysat our 5 year old niece for a week while her mom recovered in the hospital, and then we helped my partner's sister, newborn, 5 year old, and her finance move into their new home. Plus we held, fed, and spoiled our newborn niece a whole lot! The last 3 weeks have been totally insane, fast paced, and nuts. None of it went as expected but it was also wonderful!

I have my first classes in my English degree starting next week and I'm so nervoscarexcited! It's a newish word...I'm sure you can find it in Merriam-Webster. Yes, I'm a dork. I will be taking Creative Writing, I am sure I will share some of my writing here!
